Halloween costumes are a big deal in our house. I personally love to DIY costumes as much as possible but we do buy costumes too. When we picked the Star Wars costume theme again for this year, Quinn instantly wanted to be Darth Vader. We had a few accessories already, so I initially contemplated making our own Darth Vader costume.
However I already had a few costumes to make on my list and after checking out the various Star Wars Costumes available to order, Darth Vader made the most sense. It arrived just before my eldest son’s birthday and he was super excited to try it on.
The Darth Vader costume includes a mask, cape, jumpsuit, 3-D utility belt, EVA collar, boot tops and a 3-D chest piece. The only pieces we needed to complete the costume is a red light saber and black gloves which we already owned. Score!
The 3-D utility belt is great because it’s an accessory I likely wouldn’t have bothered with had I made the costume myself. It feels more official and Quinn loves it. The boot covers are also nice because I don’t have to worry about finding black shoes for Quinn to wear. My favorite part of the costume is the mask though. It’s easy enough for Quinn to put on himself, plus he can see and breath fairly well while wearing it. Sometimes the plastic Halloween masks are tough to wear because they are poorly designed. This one gets a thumbs up in my book!
It’ll make an excellent addition to our dress up box, I know both of my sons will get a ton of use out of the costume. If you still need a costume for Halloween, check out Costume Discounters for lots of fun options. They often offer discounts and promo codes for free shipping. They are an excellent option to prep for Halloween from the comfort of your home. Plus they offer many more option than most B&M stores locally.
Disclosure: We were sent the Darth Vader Costume for review purposes. As always all opinions and experiences are my own.
